Non Sporting Group Dog Breeds
Non-sporting dogs are a diverse group (also known as the Utility Group). At one time, members of this group consisted of all non hunting dogs but later were considered a catch-all for breed that doesn’t especially fit any of the other categories. Some prefer to call it the "companion group" because these dogs tend to have in common at least a recent background of being bred solely for companionship purposes. They have variety collection in terms of size, coat, personality and overall appearance. If you look at any two non-sporting dogs, chances are you won't find much in common with them; therefore each breed must be evaluated on its own merits in this group.
