Hound Group Dog Breeds
The Hound Group is one of the oldest groups of dogs. Almost all dogs in the hound group have a sharp sense in order to track animals in a hunt or follow a trail. There are two kinds of Hounds: scent hounds and sight hounds. Some demonstrate a phenomenal gift of stamina as they persistently run down quarry. Some hounds share the distinct ability to produce a unique sound known as baying. The hound group is mostly devoted to people and make excellent pets, and they are great companions for people who like the outdoors. Many of them are still used for hunting foxes, rabbits, and other small wild animals. Some hounds need lots of exercise, while others don't need much at all.
