The Kerry Blue Terrier should be groomed with scissors and a trimmer every 6 weeks. The trimming should be making him look as if he carries a neat beard. His soft coat needs brush and comb twice a week. Brush them with a firm bristle brush, and dry shampoo occasionally. Bathe in mild soap only when necessary. Over bathing or frequent bathing your dog will strip the oils from the coat and may cause severe skin irritations and possible allergy type reactions. Check their ears occasionally to maintain them clean
